One of the most important aspects about physical therapy is practicing your home therapy exercises consistently. Many people will go to each scheduled physical therapy appointment only to report they’re not seeing results as quickly as they’d hoped to see them. In most cases, this is because they haven’t been as consistent with their home exercise program as necessary for a complete recovery.

Your safety and recovery is what’s most important to us. As you work through your home exercise program, it’s important to communicate with your Physical Therapist at RPT how you’ve been feeling throughout the program. Some people may feel more pain from these exercises. This may or may not be normal, so it’s very important to communicate that to your therapist. As you work closely and communicate with your Physical Therapist, your home exercise program can be modified to best fit your needs along the road to recovery. We’ll make sure to go over how often you should be completing these exercises and teach you how to perform these in a safe manner so you’re comfortable with your home program by the time you leave the clinic.
